WEEK 3

TITLE :PROBLEM STATEMENT

OBJECTIVES :

  • To find a suitable problem statement that leads to the FYP project idea
  • To have a problem that solvable by the project
  • To make the project useful for future

METHODOLOGY :

  • Search the internet for current issues throughout Malaysia
  • Validate the problem with some articles or facts
  • Look for any other suitable solution that can relate to the problem
  • The process took in order to solve the problem

RESULTS:
1. Energy Wastage
  • What would you say if I told you that about three-quarters of what you spend on electricity every month is wasted? Considering that Americans spend about $350 billion on electricity annually, I hope you’ll find this as shocking as I do.
  • From generation to delivery to consumption, inefficiencies at every step of electricity’s journey add up to a lot of waste. Fortunately, these same conditions present us with opportunities to substantially reduce inefficiencies and their associated economic, social, and environmental impacts.

2. Safety
  • Most criminals who burglarize homes are looking for an easy hit; a house that they can break into quickly, take something of value and leave without being detected. There’s no fail-proof way to keep out a burglar, but every little bit of deterrence helps.  Even if you can’t afford a security system, you can take a few minutes to make your home a little more secure. Some relatively simple steps will greatly decrease the odds of a break-in, which means you can enjoy a bit more peace of mind. And isn’t that what “home” is all about?

ANALYSIS & DISCUSSION:

  • The problem statement that can be used:
  1. Home safety for a long term travel
  2. Reduce the usage of electricity

CONCLUSION:
  • I had found an opportune problem statement for my FYP project
  • The problem statement still need amendment if any conception emerge in the future
